After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in Radio, TV & Film, Liz began her career in production on low budget films. Over the next few years, she wrote, directed, edited and produced a number of her own projects.

She then took a position as a producer at J. Walter Thompson in Chicago. As an agency producer, she was now able to combine her creative, technical and managerial skills.

After 5 years at JWT, and wanting more freedom to write and develop her own projects, she decided to work freelance. Intentionally choosing only projects that challenged her knowledge and experience, she quickly garnered a reputation for her discerning taste and dedication to the creative process. Working with blue chip companies and entrepreneurial start-ups alike, she has produced projects from $10K to $4M.

She has worked with many internationally respected ad agencies, such as BBH, Crispin Porter & Bogusky, GSD&M, McCann Erickson and others. And with many diverse clients such as Levi’s, Target, Revlon, Coca Cola, Fox Sports, Guinness, and Southwest Airlines. Many of her projects have garnered international, industry-wide recognition, and won awards including the prestigious D&AD, the Clios, and a Gold Lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival.

As the marketplace has evolved, Liz has continuously expanded her skill set to include more web based and interactive projects. Many of her projects have set the standard for future development within this space.

Liz has been a participant in the prestigious IFP/LA Screenwriting Lab, was a finalist for the Gordon Parks Screenwriting Award at the IFP Market in New York, and was chosen as a finalist for the Sundance Writing Labs. She is currently in post-production on a feature length documentary film.

Working closely with renowned artist/film director Philippe Parreno, Liz completed production on a short film titled June 8, 1968. The film was shot on 70mm and lensed by award winning cinematographer, Darius Khondji. A visually stunning and melancholic study of death as seen thru the recreation of Robert F. Kennedy’s funeral train as it traveled from New York to Washington DC, the film is running at the Pompidou Centre in Paris.

As the advertising landscape continues to transition, Liz’s experience and natural ability to combine disciplines keep her at the forefront. She is recognized in many circles as an innovator, and continues to attract progressive agencies and unique projects that are defining the future of advertising, film and the new media.
